You’ll love your 10-minute commute to work.  But, when you want an urban setting, Indianapolis is only 45 minutes away.  Cheer on the Indianapolis Colts or the Indiana Pacers.  See, hear and feel the rush at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. And there are many, many options for easy getaways very nearby.

WIth 23 parks and greenspaces, you can enjoy nature in your own backyard.  Or, venture  a few miles in any direction to find waterfalls, lakes, hiking and mountain biking at Indiana’s most beloved state parks, forests, and preserves, many less than an hour’s drive from Columbus!

Mill Race Park is a short walk from downtown Columbus, and has many features you can enjoy with your family or just on a lunch break. The 27-mile paved People Trail runs right through the park and runs along a river.

It’s a town filled with music lovers. Whether you love the blues, classic rock, classical or Broadway-style, there’s an musical event for you.  The arts calendar is filled with free music performances all year long.
